WELCOME TO ST. JOHN'S CHURCH

Welcome to St. John’s Church, an Anglican church at the heart of a friendly community in the North of St. Peter Port, in the beautiful island of Guernsey.

We welcome you if you are from our community, from the wider Guernsey community, or just passing by. Welcome if you’re ‘just browsing,’ just woke up, or just got out of prison. Welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed, gay, confused, rich, comfortable, or poor.

Welcome if you’re more Christian than the Archbishop of Canterbury, or haven’t been in church since little Jack’s christening. Welcome if you are still in recovery or still addicted. Welcome if you could just use a prayer right now.

Welcome if you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like ‘organised religion’, if you lost all your money, if you work too hard, don’t work, don’t know anything about ‘church’ or are only here because grandma asked you to bring her to church. Welcome seekers and doubters, saints and sinners, regulars, visitors, friends and strangers.

As you browse our site we hope you find what you are looking for, but we recognise that having a good chat is often what we need.

If you would like to speak in person, please don’t hesitate to be in touch.
