Annette Stewart

People's Warden and Licenced Lay Minister

DSCF9769.jpg

I am married, a mother of two boys and proud grandmother of five beautiful granddaughters. In my leisure time I like to walk with my husband enjoying our Guernsey cliffs and bays. Reading has been a life long interest and I continue to “lose myself in a book” at any opportunity.

Born in Guernsey, I love to swim in the sea in our local bays- warm swimming pools are just not the same.  I don’t reside in the parish but I did so for some years when I was growing up, just a ‘stone throw’ from the church.

I have been a member of St. John’s since 2003 and a Licensed Lay Minister since 2004.

My working life in accounts, administration and managing teams gave me a useful set of skills for when I became a People’s church warden in 2008.

I enjoy the variety that my dual role gives me, allowing me to be involved in all aspects of planning and mission of the life of St. John’s. Even though we never know what is going to surprise us or need our attention next!

I particularly enjoy being a Pastoral leader as that brings one-to-one contact with our church family.
