Daniel Madden

Organist and Director of Music

Daniel graduated with a joint first study in flute and organ, and is a specialist Instrumental Teacher with Guernsey Music Service.

 

Since 2019 he has also been Director of Guernsey Choral & Orchestral Society.  

 

His formative years were spent in the City of Bath where he was taught at Bath Abbey by Peter King and Nicolas Stuart (organ), and Carole Jenner-Timms (flute).   

 

He later studied conducting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Nigel Bodice.  

 

In 2017, he was awarded the Fellowship of Trinity College London. Formerly, Daniel was Organist & Director of Music at the Parish Church of St Peter Port, and worked with the SATB Choir within the Anglican Choral tradition.  In 2019 the Choir were broadcast on BBC Radio as part of events to mark the Liberation of Guernsey.  With particular interests in Baroque and Twentieth Century repertoire, Daniel has given organ recitals across the UK and France, and been a regular contributor to Guernsey’s Town Church concert Series.
